Cathédral Saint-Pierre de Montpellier

Yesterday I finally took the time to walk around Montpellier and be a tourist. It’s been almost two weeks since I’ve been here and I still don’t feel like I’ve explored the slightest bit of what the city has to offer. I may not be the most architecturally informed person, but I am in absolute  awe of the structures within Montpellier. Take this cathedral for instance, it’s been around since the 13th century and still in use to this day. I tried to capture the cathedral’s beauty but I feel pictures can not do it justice. People still assemble for mass in the cathedral. My host family also told me that weddings take place here as well. I can only imagine how beautiful that could be. I plan to a attend a church service at least once while I’m here just to experience what it would be like.

à bientôt!
